It's a blogging holiday
with Romy!!!
Very impromptu week of work to get over going back to work for 4 days. Yes, walk in the day after Christmas/New Years break and organise to take another week off. Yeah, the place is that bad. Scored another week so I'm all good!
It was a week of

(where I'm not too sure about lower prices being guaranteed, however the amount of time and money I have spent here, I deserve shares)
and
where we picked up a

that sure was one neat little tool. Dug 40 metres of trench and then re-dug it (to make it deeper of course peoples) in less than 2 hours! Sure beat digging that sucker with a maddock or shovel. Bother that.
Add in a few
(curse you verbs and TFS for starting something we had so much trouble stopping!)
and you have one week of digging, trenching and running water pipe and wiring down 40 metres of backyard. Yes, boys and girls we have water all the way to the back fence, saves me connecting up 40-50 metres of hose now and gardens that might actually see water occasionally! Much planting happened, and I might say alot of bonding with the fella however when you're widening an 8 metre trench for some PVC and the hand maddock swings back and clonks you in the knee after 4 days of digging and dirt and sweat, it does not pay to be dating a chick with a wicked right arm. Yup, thank goodness he was 35 metres away from me and not 32 metres away. Wasn't his fault, I was hot, sweaty, covered in dirt wearing a small grey singlet with small shorts (think backyard blitz attire), steel-capped boots, and had the whole stubbies or hard yakka chick thing going. Kidding, there was the shirt thing happening, but the rest is a complete and total fabrication. My boots died months ago.
Most fun highlights, the job interview the Friday beforehand. No news, find out in 2 more weeks.
Dinner with Antigone, Bear and Princess on the Friday night after said interview. The Norman (for those Brisvegas people) got inundated with the hugest downpour of water and hail. Pity it's an outdoor steak and beer place. Steak and wine very good, storm that hit us, not so good. Catching up with the kids, priceless. Next time we'll choose somewhere indoors and I'll be more diligent in checking the weather reports.
Moving Tokens huge amount of stuff to her new digs. The garage scene was the best, Coronas and just shooting the breeze with top folks. That rocked.
And I'm kinda impressed to have power and water in my backyard and back 2 sheds. No more 40 metres of extension cord snaking across the backyard, or buckets of water carried from the house tank to the back garden, or having to walk all the way back up to the house to unkink that darn hose coz it will all be so close to wherever I will be standing! Yay!
Now just have the fill the holes in and get the last of the drainage fixed and it's done. One more project down. Only really need another week to get it all finished, wonder what my chances are of scoring another week off?

Nice work on the backyard blitzing- can't wait to check it out. Plus next time I see yiu, I'll have quite a few empty spirit bottles for you!
I don't reckon she'll give you another week though....

The Corona thing really is Token's fault!! She's the one who suggested them. If she hadn't I wouldn't have even thought of them.
That's my story anyway, and I'm sticking to it. :D
Saw them on special at a local bottleshop for $54!
