The waiting game

I'm a relatively patient person, am used to waiting as 'All good things come to those who wait' apparently so it's no surprise that I've been patient and wating for opportunity to knock.

Well opportunity emailed one day, in the guise of a message to an e-list that I subscribe to so of course I jumped, danced, did a small amount of self-assessment bashing and questioning of my abilities. I got a stab at said opportunity and it appears it wasn't meant for me, this time. My feedback was favourable, 'my skills and abilities were excellent', and I was 'pipped to the post by only a few points'.

Congrats to the person who got that opportunity, word has it that 2 more are coming up and I have been encouraged to give it another go.

All is not lost, the fat lady hasn't sung and I'm sure not giving up without a fight. Stay tuned for next round of opportunities.
