Apathy, aggravation and angst

Talk about aliteration day!

Ok, I know I've said it before and it's a common catch cry of late but seriously, no word of a lie, I kid you not, my job sux. Everyone sitting here answering phones with me today (minus the 3 slack buggers who can't be stuffed coming in because they don't like their job either and think a 'sick' day every week (usually on a Monday) is a really inconspicous way of not being here. Bull) has the same consensus. All those of you who have worked on helpdesk probably feel my pain, constant calls, constant abuse, constant nattering from the same numpty people who while having the ability to publish some top notch paper about the state of the lemming in far Northern Nubibia still can't grasp the idea that their username is not well their name, but in fact their staff number. Dude, I've been telling you this everyday since you started over 6 months ago. Typing don.smith@whatever.net (*name made up to protect the silly) is not going to work. And please don't ever call this number again, our staff cannot help you with your stupidity.

I had a woman scream at me constantly for 5 minutes on Monday. I still haven't figured out what she wanted when she called. I asked what she was having trouble logging into and she started screaming. Really screaming, called me some choice names too, so I've been told I can hang up on people who do that, so I did. She rang someone else back and ripped them too. Apparently she has medical issues, she'd want to with that kind of performance. Had another gentleman leave a callback message in which he swore about how bad the system was, except his problem was he actually swore. Bowm boooowwwwwwmmmmm, you swear on our phone system, we don't talk to you, simple as that. So I didn't. I then walked out.

Except Riffen came and got me. Dammit. Guess I have to keep working to earn the funds to keep me in the extravagent lifestyle to which I've become accustomed ie pay the mortgage and play adult and pay the bills. Dammit.

Oh, and I'm *still* waiting to hear back about the job. Yes, the job that I went for the interview for the day after my interview since they somehow thought I knew about it when I had heard nothing. I really hate waiting about something like this that I am piling all my hopes on to get me the hell out of this place. Please, oh deity of choice, let me get good news sometime this week and not have to wait for the bureaucracy that is Local Government to churn out the answer.

Or I will have to do as I have threatened before, brain someone with my phone.

It's amazing how much your life gets sucked when you are work miserable.
