Back in soul sucking land today (work) and it's either the fact that I'm still feeling really ill, or people have just gotten dumber in the last 2 weeks. I find my brain just wandering while listening to mindless voices drivel on about endlessly incessant nothingness. I know people are speaking to me, I can hear noise, but nothing getting through.

Earth to Rom, come in Rom.

Wha'?

In other news, I'm suffering people phobia. They're everywhere! People... they're germy little, noisy personages driving me insane with their useless squabbles about nothing. Email doesn't work, you work up this morning, be happy about that! Can't book this equipment, hey, there are starving kids in Russia for goodness sake, stop being so selfish and thinking about yourself!

Time to check realestate.com and find me that deserted island. Select people allowed.

  • Oh Rom I hate humans!! I was just telling my husband this morning about a senior officer (in the call centre) at my old job who quit because she was sick to death of speaking to whinging customers about their 5 cents owed to them.

  • I generally hate people, I firmly believe most people are idiots. Happy I don't have to deal with the public on a daily basis... But then again, everyday I talk to tradies, they aren't any better. Block it all out sweetie.

  • Agreed. People suck. When you find that Island, can i have a small patch of sand for my very own?

  • Let's not kid ourselves, people are getting dumber. Maybe call centres should implement quick IQ tests so we know what level of dumbness we're dealing with by the time we pick up their calls.

  • Janina: I can so follow that person, contemplate quitting constantly if not for the lifestyle I must support.

Audrey: Time to flee the world?

Natalie: I dont suffer idiots very well, maybe thats why I can't suffer people?

Steph: You sure can! Still looking for that island though.

Bonestorm: When you can secure a grant for that, count me in for implementation. No press button options though although one where they never get through would be fab.
