Happy Endings

'Hi 'Rom' this is your new wonderful employer. We were ringing up to let you know that you were successful in your recent job application and would like you to start straight away. Would you like to accept this position that sees you being master of your own branch library, Captain of your own staffing and budgeting levels in an environment where all the staff are fabulous, we have a wonderful rewards and recognition program, in fact we were so impressed by your application you're up for a new staff member award! So what do you say, will you quit that tired and smanky place that you currently work for. A place where the team leaders and management dont recognise your worth or pay you accordingly and you have to stay chained to a phone all day listening to imbecilic people who can't tell their monitors from their televisions whinge about nothing. Oh please say you will come work for us, we'll give you a pay rise.'

Well thats how it should happen. So far everytime the damn phones rings (which today has been 359 times already, and yesterday where it was 497 times by this time, or Monday when it had been 623 times by this time) I get all excited, heart races and it's another imbecilic person who can't do something.

Waiting bites. Wonder if they will say all those nice things about me on the phone. Hope they dont ring me up and tell me that I suck. Considering how badly I want to get out of here, I think I'd cry.
