On fights, food and fiction
*Fights suck, m'kay.
Why I get all annoyed and provoke those to fight with me I will never know. Why I can't just shut my dumb, antagonist mouth sometimes and not poke that snake a little harder I will never understand. Why I couldn't just shut the hell up in the car on the way home when boy says 'If I didn't want to spend the rest of my life with you, I wouldn't have asked you to marry me', and not say 'well actually, I've been wondering why you bothered asking since I know you dont love me'. Yep, I could feel that horse bolting even before I'd opened my mouth and I still said it! Gee I'm an idiot. Maybe I do have a problem?
*Food rocks
And in my house no one starves, seriously. Talk about insult to my Eastern European genes. The Boys at one end of the house sulking playing computer games and I still take him yummy hot garlic bread I've just whipped up coz I was hungry. Figured he might be too. *AND* I still cooked dinner and delivered it. Hey, just coz we're shitty at each other is no reason to starve. Sheesh. Domestic wench that I am.
*Fiction books get me through
Tami Hoags 'Still Waters' is the book I'm reading at the moment, in Large Print of all things too and it's great coz i don't have to wear my glasses! Thanks to my Mum for picking that one up for me, she's about as blind as I am, except hers wasn't caused by too many years being a librarian/computer type. Hey, maybe thats why the fight, so I could get some reading time in. ;-)

I think we say these things so that the person we say them to will then automatically say "but of course I love you you stupid moron" - and then we get to be martyrs and say "Well, lately it just doesn't feel like it" and then the argument goes on, with the other person then supposed to chase us as we go off in a huff. So childish and yet we just keep on doing it. Silly peoples we are.
My big problem when the above happens in our house is I'm never the one that gets the bed and ends up trying to sleep on the couch - and then have to crawl back to bed late at night coz I'm cold or uncomfortable - and he wins. Men.

Thankfully I have 2 beds and one of them is my favourite double that I let all my guests sleep on since it's so comfortable. Hey, maybe I fight so I get the comfy/childhood bed?!? :-D

I know I pick fights because I'm trying to push someone away - essentially because I think deep down I don't believe I should be loved. It's such a ridiculous, self centred affliction, but it's self perpetuating. You just have to fight the whipping of your tongue!

Man, thats it! It's the whole 'I dont deserve to be loved' kidna thing. I remember when Iw as going through my divorce I hated myself so badly and thought anybody who loved me was obviously stupid and in need of help since pah, who would love me? Audrey my dear, you may just have hit the head on the nail!
