Wedding woes

Glass of white wine in hand, I assess my wedding dress, not the new one that I'm going to wear, but my old one. The top and skirt I wore for the last event is sitting laid out on my bed as I stand over it, wine in and hand and wonder what the hell I'm going to do with it.
I'm at a loss, do I make modifications to it and perhaps use the old skirt but make it perhaps shorter, add some brocade or something to the top, oh I dont know. This shit's hard. You see I am excited about the upcoming event, really I am. I just got back from catching up with Crafty (one of my bridesmaids) in the city. We talked about the dramas I'd had with the siblings, the venue, the fact that according to Catholic Law I cannot get remarried in a church without an Annulment. And it has to be one from the Anglican Church since that's where He decided we were getting married, an extra complication. Part of me doesn't care about that, but another defiant part wants that bloody annulment, just to say the last crap event never was, even though it was. I'm gyping Riff on the wedding front, I'm sure of it. Poor fella has never done the wedding thing, always thought he never would find some chick he liked enough to ask, and then he found this chick who had already screwed it up before. Mate, he was stuffed from the beginning when he met me I'm sure of it.
So what to do..

Well reception venue has been booked, caterer confirmed, bridal party worked out even though that caused trouble, pseudo invite list made, and thats it. Mum did most of it since frankly I just can't get motivated of late and the days just blur too fast. She asked me if I'm excited, Riff's asked me if I'm excited, people are work have asked if I'm excited. I think I might have roses in my Bouquet, is that exciting enough? Mum hit me with the list of foods we could pick, choose 5 salads from the following selection kinda thing. She'd already ticked 5 that she liked so I told her to go with those, she was astounded and frankly astonished (like that alliteration?). I looked at her and said, 'look, its just food for gods sake. Like I'm going to chuck a spack about having the marinated mushroom salad instead of the pasta salad.' I'm hardly Bridezilla like Hormonal (older sister) was. Food, drink, me showering and wearing some decent gear for the event, whats the deal?

Truly, I am excited, honest. I just feel like a huge fraud.

More wine required....
