Irony, hypocrisy or plain stupidity

Things that I’ve seen/heard in the last few days that I just don’t get:

*a largely overweight person bemoaning their inability to lose weight while tucking into a large lunch of fish and chips with extra tartare sauce

*a staff member complaining about being overworked while taking 6 20 minute coffee breaks a day, coming in late in the morning, being first to leave in the afternoon and taking a total of 5 phonecalls a day. Wish I had odds like that!

*being told that I need to maintain a healthy diet and watch what I eat when I casually mention that I’m craving a sausage muffin from McDonalds. We’re talking only one a month mind you. Then said person lecturing hoes into 5 Arnotts Assorted with the 2nd cup of Milo, and munches through a bucket of hot chips. Oh, and they had a sausage and egg muffin with me.

*my older sister hating and cursing those around her who are having babies even though she isn’t trying and already has one child.

*Jamie winning on Big Brother, like the guy can’t even like walk past a mirror like without like playing with his hair, and his verbal abilities are like so non-existent that it’s like really hard to understand what the hell he is like saying. Like see what I’m like getting at?

*interest rate hike. Dude, I pay the banks enough for my miniscule plot of dirt with a brick on it, and they said the economy was prospering? Were we scheduled for a recession or something soon?

And the one I still can’t get over:

*people who are ‘willing to negotiate’ and ‘eager to sell’ and then greed kicks in. Yeah, still having house issues. Nevermind the fact that the housing market has slumped in our area and people are taking longer to sell, once there are dollar signs involved, it gets all complicated!

Some days I swear I should just stay in bed. ;-)

  • dude, you got the window seat, you have to be happy with that :)

But yes, all those things annoy me too. Even hikes in interest rates and I don't even have a house. But I do have 2 credit cards and a personal loan...
